When we work with schools, teams, coaches and athletes there are some indicators that positive change is going to take place. One of them is that the administration understands the value of athletics and is on board with the growth process. This week we had a superintendent of schools not only attend the entire 2 day workshop, he was engaged with kids and coaches during the breakouts, actively listening and taking notes, asking questions, applying leadership principles to his own situation. When leaders model these behaviors, I can almost guarantee that schools and teams will improve.
