When will outright racism towards Filipinos stop??? Yes #Tubridy, a radio presenter has apologised for his joke when he mentioned that his seat had been kept warm by a young Filipino Slave however what I fail to understand is why are Filipinos still being referred to as slaves, maids or similar and how can this be stopped??? As far as I am concerned, Filipinos are a hard working and caring people who are widely employed in the UK for actually taking care of the elderly relatives of our population, through high quality nursing, working in care homes and many other professions. So why have there been so many examples of racism by those very same people. I am calling on people to STOP making jokes about the Filipino people, simply NOT funny. My wife and family happen to be Filipino as well, so when racism occurs, it has a personal and profound effect not only on Filipinos but also on those who are in a relationship with Filipinos. #ThinkBeforeYouJoke #Filipino #StandUpAgainstRacism #Filevent
