When you are laid up in the hospital for a period of time, you have time to reflect. My relationship with Dr. Stinson spans over 40 years. We worshipped together at Miles Chapel CME Church. We partied together and danced the night away. We would pass each other on the dance floor, and say, hello Sunday School Superintendent. I would say to Doc, Hello Chairman of the Steward Board. See you in the morning. Life was fun and we socialized. We lived life to the fullest. Then, one day, I announced my calling to preach the Word of God. Partying days were over. But friendships last forever. I am still in the hospital and cannot attend the home going celebration. But, I must say, Dr. Bobby Stinson did his way. Texas College will never be the same. Thanks be to God for those of us who truly love Texas College and the CME Church. Our love for TC is stronger than any evil force that may come against her or us. We are TC. We are those who inherited the purple and gold legacy. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. We will no longer hear the word DINK. So, students, be productive citizens. Dont be a dink. Dr. Stinson, you fought a good fight. You have finished your course. You have kept the faith. Enjoy Omega Land. I will truly miss you dear friend.
