When you are working with the Government; why are you filing so many RTIs? It is not so much by choice Sir. The unresponsive way in which the Govt. deals with us leaves us with little options. And after all; there is nothing wrong in exercising the (Right to) Information. Especially when senior Secretary level bureaucrats almost challenge you to get info. by RTI(s) alone. This is just a small excerpt from our meeting with Mr. Meenakshi Sunderam, Vice Chairperson of MDDA. The fact that the Chief Minister has himself conceived a River Front Development Programme to be implemented by the MDDA has a lot to do with the efforts put in by our team at Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD); as when Mr. Rawat had attended the MADATHON 2013 function as the then Union Cabinet Minister of Water Resources; he had himself said that it was only then that he realized that the two streams must be saved and protected. That is why, even MDDA is now willing to fall back on the NIH Roorkee report (prepared after a joint survey of scientists, Reenu Maam and MAD members) which has made extremely favorable findings on the possibilities of reviving Rispina and Bindal. After our discussions with the VC today; Saurav shall be submitting to the VC two proposals on our behalf as inputs on the River Front Development Programme.
