When you confront a friend over their destructive behavior, they will feel defensive, and probably lash out at you. But that is true love. When I say Israel must end the occupation and withdraw from the settlements, thats love. I dont want more harm done to Israel. I am not saying Israel doesnt have a right to defend themselves. No one can take that right away. Ending the occupation and withdrawing from the settlements, will not make Israel more vulnerable. In contrast, it will extinguish Hamas fire, make them irrelevant and fully legitimize any self defense that is necessary in the future.
