When you dress and equip the cops like an occupying military force, that started ACTING like one. In America there used to be a few thousand SWAT actions a year for serious situations like active shooters, hostage situations etc. Now, there are more than 1,000 military style SWAT actions A WEEK and for really stupid stuff. There is no justification for this, it needs to stop, period. It has nothing to do with whether you like Bill Maher or not. I could care less about Bill Maher. I care about the fact that America has now become a police state. All of the evidence proves this beyond any doubt. My mom used to work for the Department of Justice and went to a retirement party for a Supreme Court magistrate. At the party one of the judges she used to work with told her how corrupt the entire system had become and how people in authority now routinely abuse their positions and behave as though it is THEIR OWN personal government office or department etc and shook his head in disgust. When you have a veteran Federal magistrate saying stuff like that, you know its serious. And its not about Oh things were better in the good ol days or whatever, its just that things have gotten much MUCH worse. When you read and hear stories about people at the NSA and other government agencies collecting ALL of your personal, private information, ALL of your conversations on phones, emails, text and other electronic communications, your private medical info, everything you buy, every place you go or visit, storing all of this information AUTOMATICALLY in huge data collection centers, sifted through, filtered, collated, measured and stored PERMANENTLY, spying on their ex bfs or gfs or using their positions and access to spy on or harm people, companies and even foreign leaders of FRIENDLY nations, you start to realize that weve entered an era of tyranny and government/corporate collusion and oppression. Read through the information Snowden released, its chilling. So, what does big brother tyranny look like? Take a closer look at America now and youll have the answer. Does it really matter if you personally havent experienced it or are possibly unaware? No, not really. Do you think the majority of North Koreans are aware of the system they live under? Not that the US is as bad as North Korea, but so freakin what? Whats the saying? There are none more enslaved than those who think they are free but are not. Something like that.
