When you face difficult times in life-does your faith shrink or expand? What lens do you look through to interpret your life-the good, bad, and difficult times you face? If we trust God is in control, we view life through a lens of hope and trust. The hard times draw us closer to Him, instead of pushing us further away. In Chapter 31 of The Story, we look at the last book of the Bible-the vision God gave to John in Revelation. God reveals a truth, a promise, a hope we can hang onto: a vision of a new heaven and a new earth with no more tears, no more death, no more pain...can you even imagine it? What if we look at all of life through this lens of eternal hope? Once hope takes hold of you, youll never be the same again. Are you willing to get off the fence and trust the hope of Gods promise? (like last Sun-if the mama bird pushes you out of the nest, can you trust that youll fly?) Allow this Upper Story truth to break into your lower story: Hope propels us into mission. Hope reveals that God is in charge, He wins, and gives us a reason to leap in faith! Dare to trust, and hope in a God who loves you dearly!
