When you get up in the morning, practice just 5-10 minutes of stillness. Practice watching your thoughts as they start to flow into your mind stream. Dont just go into autopilot! Refrain from reaching for your mobile phone/tablet to check your emails, or switching on the radio or TV. Learn to focus, rather than be scattered. By taking this small but essential time to center yourself, you can tap into a higher state of awareness that will serve you well as you move into your day.
