When you go to work today and perform your tasks, understand that you do all for the glory of God. Perform your tasks well. Your workplace has expectations of performance and it is our job to work as if working for the Lord. However, make sure you have clear thinking when it comes to your relationship with God. Jesus Christ died on the cross willingly. No one took His life. He laid it down. He would rather die than live without you and this is true even though you performed badly. He went to the cross because of your bad performance not because you performed well. His love is so compelling that when we allow ourselves to be loved by our Savior, we will discover that our transformation will change they way we live. So, understand that we live in a world where you have extrinsic value. In this world what you do that determines whether or not you have value. However, when it comes to the economy of the Kingdom of God, you were created in the image of God. Therefore, you have intrinsic value. The great mystery of God is that His holy love is so overwhelming that our when we are awakened to the reality of our human condition, our only response is repentance. Our posture changes as we run toward Him and we always hunger for more while always feeling satisfied.
