When you have a probably that an act of terrorism or mass catastrophe will occur at an unknown time ... you do not have the luxury of playing patty cake ... you have to make the offenders who may have information believe they will suffer or die .. they may lie but part of gaining intelligence is getting information from as many sources as possible. Part of the process of developing that into useable intelligence is the ability to confirm or deny what has been said. When people talk about the moral high ground they may want to start with betraying fellow Americans who are risking their lives to protect us ... as did Feinstein and the members of her committee. That is why security clearances are supposed to be categorized into different levels of access to information. She clearly has violated hers and her access should be removed. Maybe there was good reason for the CIA to snoop on her ... so many of the people in Congress dont know what and when to share info and deservedly should be kept out of sensitive briefings. Then we have those like Pelosi who seem to have convenient memories or else they just choose to lie.
