Blessings, Fr. James Ukrainian Cultural Center (YKO) Los Angeles the Ukrainian Culture Center of Los Angeles is organizing a clothing drive. We need womens, childrens and mens warm clothing of all sizes in good condition. We have asked the priests of all the Ukrainian parishes to announce the drive and to have parishioners drop off the clothing at the cultural center at 4315 Melrose, LA 90029 or bring it to their churches and we will pick it up. Our target date for sending a container full of warm clothing is by Sept.26th the latest as it takes 6-8 weeks to ship in order to arrive by mid November when the weather is colder. We have also sent out letters to our members and made announcements through other organizations. Please help us by spreading the word so that we are able to fill a container of 40,000 pounds. If someone has contacts with clothing stores to also please contact them for donations of either clothing or money for humanitarian aid for the soldiers, wounded and displaced refuges. We appreciate your assistance in this time of crisis in Ukraine.
