When you notice that some people are surviving in the world of make belief, you must be convinced that there is no country to talk about. We all laughed our lungs out when Mugabe told the whole world that Zimbabwes economy is on the recovery path. In the same Herald issue that had the leading headline of Mugabes hallucinations, its business section had the leading story of 100 companies to shut down this months, 3000 companies closes shop since the beginning of this year and more than 50 000 jobs lost so far. Inside the same paper was a story quoting Tongai Muzenda, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare telling Senate in session that, government can not guarantee civil servants fixed pay dates. Then you tend to wonder which world Mugabe is based. Is it senility through old age or this old dude no longer knows what is happening in the country. Kudos to Herald journalists who are sometimes trying to have a polite way of telling him the truth of what is mitigating on the ground, so as to avoid embarrassing himself always!!!
