When you post something that belittles prayer or the Christian - TopicsExpress

When you post something that belittles prayer or the Christian faith in general, you show that you dont like Christianity in your own way. I might not like it, but I can and will ignore it. But friends, please consider, that when you belittle prayer and faith in anyone who has a disability, or who has dealt with loss, or who loves someone who is disabled ... what you are belittling is NOT the Christian faith or how little you think of it. Instead, you are showing a pronounced lack of respect for the very faith someone has leaned on to help them through their struggles in life. It cuts deeper, bruises the heart in an almost physical way, to see the prayers or outright faith of anyone belittled. But when you do so by targeting someone with a disability or someone who loves them - you have made it so much harder for me to ignore that pain. Is it worth the seconds worth of a chuckle or laugh? Is it worth a moment of feeling so very smart in your own mind? Is it worth it if you know you have also truly hurt someone? Because I dont stop loving you, liking you, or listening to what you say - but I also cant think of you without again feeling hurt. You do that to me. And you do that to complete strangers who didnt do anything to you, other than have faith during difficult times that a God you dont even believe in has a plan and loves them. Its so easy to make things about whether someone is a Christian or not ... but sometimes its also about showing common decency.
