MORE THAN ONE WAY OUT There was only one way out, he said And as I waited for a sign Do I turn my back and walk away Do I stand and fight bravely this time The mountains Ive been climbing I thought Id never see the top But, as I slowly reach my hand to heaven I prayed to God for strength, so I would not stop Show me one more reason Lord Im grateful for this time But, my body is so broken And my angels guard this precious mind Some days Im tired, and Im so weary I have to pause while I reflect I pray for guidance help me Lord When I am full of such regret And as I lay my head upon the pillow I can hear my angel shout And in the darkness I can still smile Knowing that there is always more than one way out… © Brenda Keough
