When you wake up and realize the world is changing you spend more time reflection on life. Earlier this year I took my flight to Malaysia that changed my life thanks to Brandy Collins. The crew welcomed me with warm arms as one of the few young Americans to travel to the Muslim country. I had the best airline food and the most pleasant crew I had ever met. They even charged my phone mid-flight so that I could have a proper charge for my arrival into their country. I took pictures with the crew and filled out the customer satisfaction cards to say thank you. That same flight, that same plane... no longer exists. As my work here grows, I develop a deeper meaning of my new family here. In one year the country suffered 3 tragic international losses. As I reflect on New Year my heart is torn with excitement of creating global change mixed with the harsh realities that I was a few weeks from being on the same Malaysia Air Flight MH0017 that was shot down, in Ukraine. I had a hard time deciding my New Years resolution this year and I think that it is simple. Keep doing what I am doing. With all of the pain the year brought, friendships strained, and faith tested I am still here. I still have a mission on this earth. My life was spared for a reason. With a difference in scheduling I would not be here to tell my story and live my purpose. So, this year will be a year of continue. A year of faith. 2 years in the game of faith and I have sailed across the Atlantic, crossed the Israel-Palestine and seen peace of the nations at the community level. Explore a Muslim filled world with a different eye. Narrowly escape deadly attacks in Egypt just to capture the conversation and the footage to show Peace exist. Many may not know or understand what ITTS is. But, you will soon feel the influence of a positive conversation to end the fear of the unknown and explore the possibilities of something new. A place like where I live now to see Muslim, Christians, and followers of Hinduism, Taoism, Catholicism, Judaism walk together in Peace. Malaysia celebrates all holidays and respects all religions as a land of Peace. To loose 3 planes in one year shouldnt speak for the rich culture and extreme hospitality to strangers of the country. I am proud to be working along side of the Federal Government of the United States and the Federal Government of Malaysia on the comprehensive cooperation agreement to bring Peace through conversation. This new year the vision has increased 1200%. A date in time is the only thing that separates the picture on the left to have ended to the picture on the right. God Bless America and its continued cooperation with the world on peaceful resolutions. This American has close ties to the strangers he meets and the pain being felt around the world.
