Whenever I am facing stress straight on such as Lori Elder-Christensens visit to the amazing Mayo doctors right now, it is imperative that I throw myself into a huge project. What is it this time? Youll be totally surprised! More painting!!! More than a month ago, we began remodeling Leighlyns bedroom. Her old closet was torn out and a new walk-in closet was built in a different part of the room. A wall was removed that seperated her bedroom from the main bathroom. So now, our house has two master suites. Anyway, she chose a new color scheme--a light rose pink on three walls and totally black on her wall where her white headboard is located and her new closet walls. Leighlyn is extremely busy. Shes a sophomore in high school whos involved in cheerleading, band, church activities, etc. Plus she has a lot of great friends who love to spend time with her. Because of all of this, she has not had much time to paint. I decided to surprise her today by painting the rest of her bedroom while she was in school. Her walls are tall. Even though Im not ever to bd on stepladders because of my thinned blood, I did it anyway. Still, I was unable to reach the top 3-4 Of the walls. She took care of that when she got home. Very little painting needs to be finished now. Ill fill you in on a secret. Dont tell Leighlyn but Im going to try to re- organize her new bedroom and clean it all up while she is in school tomorrow. Stan still has to hang her partial glass door in her closet. He also has to hang at least one chandelier then her room will be done. And if I must say so myself, it will be more beautiful than it has ever been. Shes like her mom. She loves Victorian design. Her bedroom will now be Victorian with a great deal of bling mixed in. For example, her drapes and sheers are black. The drapes are covered with rhinestones. Thats just a small amount of the bling. If I can figure out how to post pictures of her finished bedroom on FB, even friends and relatives several states away will get to see the finished project! Just remember! Dont tell Leighlyn!!!
