Whenever I paint a logo on a field in memory of someone and I am out there all alone for 4-6 hours, I can truly feel their presence all around me and I always talk to them as they watch over me from up above.... Today I was asked if I would paint a logo for a cheerleading team encouraging people to put an end to bullying in memory of one of their own, a young Rhode Island cheerleader who took her own life last month after being repeatedly bullied. Wanting to know more about her other than just her first name, I started searching the Internet to see what I could find... For an hour I looked at pictures, read stories about her, and watched YouTube videos posted by her friends. She just looked so normal, so happy, so wonderful..... It just broke my heart..... Now I know who Ill be talking to as I paint, but I cannot help but wonder, Why cant people just be nice to one another? And why cant kids realize that they always have people in their lives who truly love them who they can turn to in their times of need? Two questions that Ill probably never know that answers to......
