Where Have Your Feet Been? Romans 10:15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Thoughts for Today: Over the years many of my woman friends and my wife have said, You have pretty feet for a man. That is unless Ive been doing yard work in an old pair of sneakers, working out at the gym, or constantly walking around the house of outside with no shoes. Then my feet are not suitable to have anywhere near the inside of our house, least not our bed. You see, where Ive been, the activities Im involved with, or what Ive stepped into, all of it affects the beauty of my feet. Beautiful feet is a pretty good analogy (which Paul uses in our passage today), to illustrate our state of mind. The word beautiful is translated from the Greek word horaios, and means the bloom and vigor of life. In other words, the feet of the ones who preach the Good News demonstrate the bloom and vigor of life as it pertains to God’s/Christ will for your life. I spend a lot of time studying, but my desire one day is to teach, and do one-on-one discipleship of young men, and writing about the Word of God in a more worldly sense (book form). I believe that all these things God/Christ will allow in my life as I continue this journey in Him and with my (current/new) church, Millennium Revival Center, here in Raleigh, NC. You see although our feet might be pretty, or even worn, as one that is spreading the Word of God/Christ to the world all that follow this path feet are beautiful in the eyes of Our Lord. So guess what I and many that follow this journey are full of most of the time? Thats right -- joy, excitement, passion, enthusiasm, and love. If lately youve been feeling a little depressed, discouraged, or bored, its almost a sure thing you havent been sharing the Gospel. Unfortunately when we are not sharing the Gospel we have a tendency to be selfish -- self-absorbed, self-focused, or self-conscious. How do you feel? What needs to change? Questions to Ponder: Where have your feet been lately? In what activities have you become more involved? Where do you spend your time? Do your passions include sharing your faith? Is it time to change your focus? With whom can you share the Gospel? Resolve to do so today.
