Where I struggle as a progressive voter - why are low-income - TopicsExpress

Where I struggle as a progressive voter - why are low-income groups voting Ford rather than say Chow? According to these maps & Hulchanskis analysis we can correlate demographics to voting in this election - but Im still not sure why. Im missing how subways, subways and stop the gravy train resonate more with these groups in Scarborough and Etobicoke than improved social services, and better transit throughout neighbourhoods. Beyond this - in the provincial election the Liberals won handily in both Etobicoke and Scarborough - so what is it about the Fordss message that creates this divide at a municipal level that isnt happening at other political levels. Finally with all this in mind what happens if Doug becomes leader of the PCs??
