Where are you now, Angeli? Are you still in the country that you - TopicsExpress

Where are you now, Angeli? Are you still in the country that you hate? Thats pitiful! Thats self-torturing. Are you masochistic? You are punishing yourself by staying in a place where everything around you is hateful. If you have left your country, you should have found peace and self-contentment. You must be enjoying your life now. But, I cannot find any solace in any of your words that would disprove any thinking that you simply do not understand what you are saying. Its simple common sense -- if you feel discomfort in any place, leave it and find a better place -- LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT. You have a very lovely name -- Angeli. Its somehing heavenly. Can I therefore surmise you are a female? Your last name suggests treasure -- Diamante, or Diamond. Your full name surmounts everyhing, it is very overpowering -- heavenly treasure. Pero bago maging treasured gem ang diamond, di bat hinahalukay muna yan sa ilalim ng lupa. Thats our country, the Philippines, diamond waiting to be polished by angelic creatures. Yet, with all the negativities in your composition, I cannot find any justification to the effect that you do deserve such a heavenly name. I would rather say, this angel is full of hatred -- is she heavenly or from somewhere else? Correct me, if I were wrong. I would be thankful to be corrected...as I believe every wrong should be corrected. Have you heard the saying of one of the greatest statesmen of the 20th century...something like this, Ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask yourselves what you can do for your country. I would say that that statement opened the eyes of every citizen from that generation to the current one. I believe you are educated. Its only a matter of putting into the right context what you learned, or at least heard. from the school. I believe youd understand when I say, the beauty of a thing depends on the eye of the beholder. Or...your happy life on earth will depend on how you look at the things around you. While negative thoughts cause demoralization, positive thinking provides hope and strengthens willpower. Looking back at historical events, we were able to find fortune out of misfortunate events. A brilliant statesman in Philippine politics said his campaign slogan in 1964, this country will be great again. True to what he said, our country, the Philippines became great in the eyes of the world during the peaceful EDSA revolt of 1986, when he was toppled from power when barehanded church and faithful people overpowered the military might of his martial rule. The meager 300 courageous ones in Crame stood victorious, reminiscent of that historical event in the Battle of Thermopylae between 300 Spartans against the mighty Persian Empire (have you seen the movie?). Should I still mention that this event also brought back to life how the youngest general in Philippine Revolution, Emilio Jacinto with even less, with 69 fighters, fought the mighty Americans pursuing the first President of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo. There are lots of them, the list is endless, to show that this country, the Philippines, is worthy of our love and support. Let us fight evildoers in our midst. Either negative or positive thoughts are contagious. Why shouldnt we make it positive...hopeful and strengthening against all evils.
