Where do I begin??? I cant express how proud I am of the young men that dedicate their, summers, free time, and everything else to this program. Those that keep pushing through all of the adversity. Those that kept showing up after receiving some of the worst butt chewing that some coaches could issue. The young men that fight through the injuries just to be there for the guys standing next to them in the huddle. Those who have never done it would have a hard time understanding why an athlete does what they do. Why they show up everyday to be drove into the ground mentally and physically with the hopes of a great outcome. Why at times they are willing to sacrifice their time and body for the success of something outside of themselves. Thank you for your commitment and trust. I have said from the time that several of you where in middle school that those that stay will be champions. Whether you win state or fall short of accomplishing your goal you are a champion. For the people who dont understand, go to any young man that played on that field last night and ask them was every rep, butt chewing from coach white or any other coach, late practice, punishment, early morning, injury, workouts or whatever... ask them was it worth it to feel the feeling that they felt last night when they found out that they did something that hadnt been done in years. I cant explain what this family has been through. Im just so proud to say that I was here. Now that we are in, are we just okay with making it? Or do we understand that now begins another level of play? Are we prepared to do what needs to be done in order to leave our mark on this community? Lets get whats ours men. Step up or step back...Get right or get left... Those that stay will be champions.
