Where do I begin? Today was the most absolute perfect day for a reunion with my roomie!!!! We met at the appointed hour and hugged and hugged in the parking lot of Books A Million. It was as if we had just taken a short weekend break because we picked up right where we left off 37 years ago. We went over to Winthrop and took a walk down memory lane. We went to our old dorm which is now a gallery for the visual arts and our old room is an office! We knocked on the door and asked if we could come in and just stand in our old room and have a few minutes to recall and reflect on some wonderful memories from our past! We had a delightful time regaling the ladies who worked there and it was a wonderfully welcoming visit and they thanked us for coming by and sharing with them! From there we went to the adjoining dorm and into the dining hall and reflected on the wonderful food, the 16 pounds I gained my freshman year and the homemade ice cream we had access to that came from the college farm! We meandered on across campus and went to the auditorium where I spent my last 2 years in a music practice room and walked out on the stage where I graduated! From there we walked back across campus and went to lunch where we just sat and talked until after 2 oclock laughing and sharing our past together! Before we left we made definite plans to do this again in 4-5 weeks! We also plan to make a trip to New York together to take in some plays!! It is just like we were never apart!!
