Where do those cries I hear come from? Who are those screaming? Why is everyone running? Mothers wailing, kids weeping, No one is saying anything all I can see is smoke, I ask questions but all I get is expressionless faces… My words were tagged silent for not one soul saved me from this ignorance, Tired of asking questions, “brace up” an inner sense in me said, To sit down resigned to faith is madness. I start to trace the direction of the smoke, Finally I get to stream, a dead end, I turn to return frustrated for all my efforts have being in vain, Suddenly a voice speaks and Alas!!! It was the stream, it said and I quote; “The source of the smoke which you seek is in the hands of those that rule you, they also ruin you, they manipulate you and afterwards castigate you. They create the menace in fact they are the menace… No my child, do not give me that look like all is gone… The smoke can varnish, the community can be better, but first go back home because the future of your race is in your hands, you are the majority of the minority, you are the foundation on which this nation can be rebuilt, you are our hope… Go on dear child, go in peace…” Ouch!!! Why do I feel so sweaty, as usual I am a dreamer and this is one of my many lots. But is it going to die like the other’s? Will it be like fetching water with a basket, or napping in a casket? Did the stream have an idea of the rot in this land ? Does she really believe in us? Can our nation be re built when its very own pieces are hard to pick?
