Where does the courage to commit suicide come from? When we - TopicsExpress

Where does the courage to commit suicide come from? When we see scenes of people destroying their lives, throwing themselves off the top of a building or in front of a car, or shooting themselves in the head, we ask, “how does he have the courage to commit such a drastic act”. The answers are: problems with no apparent solution, such as debt, the loss of a great love, spousal betrayal, and so forth. But all these situations are arguments used by people who think that by having their soul separated from their body (death), they will go into an environment of peace and find the solution to their problems. However, they are wrong and unfortunately, plunge deep into an abyss where their new problem is insoluble and eternal. And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs, Luke 8.27 When we take a closer look at the Word of God, we see that the courage of taking your own life comes from the unbearable torment done by the devil, who uses the situations mentioned above. The Gadarene felt like this. He lived among the tombs seeking relief. He did not wear clothes because his agony was so great that even clothes bothered him. Instead of living at home, he spent his days wandering around. How many people live like this? Or maybe you are reading this message and find yourself in this situation? For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles, and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness,” Luke 8.29 There were so many demons tormenting that poor man, that he hallucinated, and his strength multiplied to the point of shattering chains and shackles. The Lord Jesus ordered those demons to leave the man and they attacked the pigs that were grazing nearby. Notice how they reacted to the thought of being tormented in hell. Then the demons went out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and drowned, Luke 8.33 Now I understand the courage of giving up on life, or someone hurting themselves to death. They just want to put an end to their suffering, which is caused by the devil, thinking that their motive is one of the situations mentioned above. Therefore, all of us who have the knowledge of the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, can not tire of doing what is good, showing these people a light at the end of the tunnel and fighting for their souls, until the last seconds of our life here on earth.
