Where has the year gone? It has been a busy one for us, it started last February when I began coding new software to simplify the process of lip syncing singing tree elements to the words in a song. Following that, I wrote a second module that allows one to export the sequencing data in their light show so that it can be run from a $40 Raspberry Pi module. It took 4 months to write both pieces of software, but it was been a great success with the DIY Christmas Light community. In fact, both pieces of code are being used by one of the participants in this years season of ABCs Great Christmas Light Fight! (I am not allowed to say who until it gets closer to air time). We are still working out the date when the lights will go on this year. My work and travel schedule has made this a little tricky but at the moment, we are targeting the night of November 30th, subject to change.
