Where should I start? This post is for Bảo, the awesome guy from Ho Chi Minh and the very first friend I made in this years summit. We met each other so early that we were friends way before the summit started. This is the guy who had so much fun partying that he probably wants to forget what happened to him *wink* *wink* He loves his grandparents so much, he ran to the mall at the very last minute to buy them traditional Filipino attires *awwww* My fault, really, since I promised to go with him but I never found the time to do so. This post is for Phương Cún, Anh, the birthday girl from Hanoi. We were also friends way before the summit started. She probably felt the bookworm in me when she gave me a beautiful bookmark hand-painted with images of Vietnams culture. That bookmark will always stay with me, whether Im reading a book or not, Anh. This post is for Nafisatul from Jakarta, the adventurous Indonesian who probably knows Cebu better than me by now. Would you believe that, on the first day of the summit, she already knew which jeep to ride from our hotel to Colon? Its 01K, btw. I didnt know that. Thank you, Nafisa. This post is for Youwen, also from Jakarta, the first girl to ever touch my shoulder, look me straight in the eye, and tell me Inibiig, mahal kita. Who cant love this girl back? This post is for Sabdo, the birthday boy from Surabaya, and the one who gave me my very first udeng. Its as if you are welcoming me into your culture and making me one of you, Indonesians. That udeng means so much to me, Sabdo. This post is for Rizki, the Facebook hacker from Bandar Lampung. Its a good thing I kept my tablet and phones close to me, or else he wouldve posted an embarrassing status on my Facebook too! Right, Bao? This post is for Pakanun, or Boom, from Bangkok, my first Thai friend. Boom! Like an explosion, he said when he introduced himself while we were lining up to have dinner on the first night. Indeed, knowing him was a boom. Silent, yet fun. Just the right kind of Boom. This post is for Junior, also from Bangkok. A really awesome guy, whos chill with life and awesome with everything else. This post is for Honeynp and Nut, both also from Bangkok, my last minute friends during the summit, and of course the last people I got to have selfies during the night. Awesome! This post is for Clament, the computer guy from Puchong. Hes the silent kind but hes really deep inside. You guys could never guess the immensity of the stuff he can do with his Chromebook! Yes! He has a Chromebook! And I got to use it! With his permission, of course. This post is for Anonoz, the party animal from Kuala Lumpur. And by party animal, yes, I mean he really is a party animal. You really wont have trouble looking for him if you lost him in a party. Trust me, I know. This post is for Pui Jing, the PJ from Petaling Jaya. (We have our own Pjay in the Philippines.) I still owe her a boatload of apologies since I forgot we already knew each other after spending one night partying. I hope you have already forgiven me, PJ! Sorry! This post is for Payal and Astha, the two awesome girls from Singapore! You really rocked the cultural night with your awesome number! This post is for Salman, from Lahore, the guy who made his own Google Glass prototype. How awesome is that? This post is for Kasun, from Colombo, the guy who takes his selfies really seriously. You probably cant see him without his camera. This post is for all the Filipino GSAs, need I say more? : ) This post is for all the other GSAs who I am not able to write about in this post. Thank you for the friendship. Thank you for the time. Thank you for making me feel as if I were a part of your country the same way I was trying so hard to make you feel as if you all were a part of mine. I doubt we will all be able to be together again but I also doubt its not possible. Heres to all our future Google events! Dont forget to always do cool things that matter!
