Where to begin? Oye! I feel bad that this mom would feel attacked. Its unfortunate that she didnt have access to the info on the benefits of: (I assume she didnt have proper info from reading the article) allowing baby to go to term, frank breech is the most ideal for breech deliveries, benefits of the hormones released during labor, and the benefits of the baby being delivered through the vagina. Maybe if she would have been informed and understood this her choices would have been different. Its not a make you feel bad thing. If you feel bad for a c/s than this is an emotion you own and should address why. When someone tries to educate someone on the importance of labor and vaginal birth well thats called education not an attack. Its frustrating that providers dont give a good well-rounded unbiased breakdown of the benefits of natural birth. Its sad that they arent properly educating their clients. C/s have saved many lives but this should not replace or remove or hide the benefits of natural labor.
