Where will you be in three years? Some of you may recall a similar question I recently asked, except it was where will you be in five years and I asked it two years ago. Seems like just yesterday. On this day three years from now, August 17, 2017, a total solar eclipse will pass across the United States. When you consider that most solar eclipses happen out in the middle of oceans or at the ends of the earth this one is happening in our own backyard. If you have never seen a total solar eclipse from within the path of totality this will be a rare opportunity to see one of nature’s greatest events. But you must be within the path of totality. From there day will turn into night. Some have been planning years to see this, you still have three years to consider a location and make plans to be there. It’s also a great opportunity to travel some place you might not have previously considered. Sort of like throwing a dart at a map & going there, except with this dart you have the option of choosing a location along a 50 mile wide path that stretches across the entire United States. Research carefully, check the typical weather conditions for this time of year, and good luck !
