† Where’s Waldo…… 1 John 3:1 (NIV): See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Have you ever played “Where’s Waldo”? The object of the game is to find this odd looking guy in the midst of a multitude of faces. You must look intensely to find where he is hiding amongst everything and everyone. I think sometimes we feel like Waldo would feel if he were real, just one unremarkable grain of sand on the beach of life. Sometimes, we cry out to God with a lot of doubt that He even hears us. But this is not the case with God! You see, we are all significant to God. He created us in His own image! Romans 5:8 tells us that even though we were sinners, Christ died for us! The Apostle John writes, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). God looks our way and is mindful of us because each one who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior is one of His children! Do you feel like Waldo today? Do you feel insignificant, overlooked, unloved, and unappreciated by your boss, your spouse, or your friends? Never feel that you are less than loved and accepted by God. For God loves you! He has a plan for your life that you may not understand and He may lead you through some difficult times. But God will never leave you nor forsake you! You are His child!
