Whether we believe or not in our so called democratic regimes, we cannot disregard the fact that there are decision makers, elected or not. Interventions in civil society cannot cover all the aspects leading to change. The same amounts for BDS action. In addition to persuading cultural and academic workers not to perform or have ties with Israeli institutions, and to the economic divestment, we must address the sphere of official politics. Sanctions against Israel are always to be decided by politicians. Pressing on your local representatives, on the local council, and also submitting BDS petitions to Parliaments - are legitimate avenues of actions. BDS supporters around the world, submit petitions to your Parliaments calling to endorse BDS!
