Whether you are an artist, an architect, a teacher, a waiter, a mom or a dad, a nurse or still trying to figure it all out, or you sell widgets… it is important to take care of the person doing the doing. If you want something to be different, youll have to do something different. And that includes the whole being, mind, body and spirit. I work on my mind when I meditate and journal. I started working on my body recently training for a 5K (at 60 years old, and Ive never been a runner), and spirit is doing the thing you love and giving back. For me, that is painting, creating, inspiring and giving anywhere I can, sharing what I love. I am a great example of a work in progress, at the age of 60, reinventing myself every day. I fall down, I get up. Its 7:30 am in the midwest US and Ive already done Week 2 Day 1 of Couch to 5K. The coffee is brewing, neighbor guy upstairs is already off to work so I can turn up the music or not be concerned with making too much noise. After I journal, Ill return to work on the piece I spent time with yesterday. It kept me busy most of the day! One more thing I do each day in my routine is commit to accomplishing one task that day, the thing that keeps hanging around on my to-do list, something that never seems to get done. And I make sure that it is completed before I go to bed. Its the best way to build confidence and self-esteem and believing in yourself. Keep your word to yourself. Would love for you to join me, if you like. Keep it simple! Today I will clear off my dining table (it is covered with mailing supplies, prints, cards, frames, tape, etc.). Ill let you know when Ive completed my commitment. Have an awesome Monday!
