Whether you are doing my program, another program or simply doing your own thing my top 3 pieces of advice kicking off the new year: 1. Every positive change matters! So many of us think its all or nothing. We have a healthy breakfast but then at lunch grabbed a handful of m&ms so then the rest of the day we feel guilty, emotionally eat and think we arent strong enough to really change. Change takes time. If you slip up move on and the next meal do your best. Even if 1/2 your day was clean eating celebrate that and try harder each day. All those healthy changes (even if its just having a healthy breakfast) DOES add up and does make a difference! 2. Change takes time. Going along with the above... dont set yourself up for disappointment by thinking in 30 days you will never want sugar and have lost 20 lbs. Most people lose 1-2 lbs a week when eating properly and sometimes not even that as they build muscle and lose fat (muscle is more dense so you may be losing inches but not weight)! My progress is that of a snail... It has taken me years but Im in the best shape of my life. Its not a race, and the time will pass anyway, so just embrace the process and remind yourself it will take time. 3. Find YOUR healthy balance. There is no right program. There is only the right program/process that works for you. What works for your friend may be awful for you. For me, meal prepping two days a week works ...but a lot of people it doesnt and they cook daily. Some people workout mornings while others only nights. Dont compare yourself to others. This is about you... You becoming healthier.... You giving yourself time to achieve your goals... You finding what works. And overall just know you can do more (hard) things then you realize because we often dont see the strength we have or how amazing we are!
