Whew! Cant believe I pulled off today. Got both kids to school. Loaded up car with childrens apparel to pass off to Miss Abby Schwalb to donate to a school closet for children who cant buy clothing. Loaded up four boxes of donated shoes for Terry Pilchers Tue. FHS crew & met Abby by OMSI to exchange goods. We went to David, Chazz and Roberts camp shortly after so she could deliver corn-free dog food to their dog, Luna & so I could give them some Diatomaceous Earth to help them with unwanted passengers. While we were there, Robert went back to his camp, got something for me & came back with something in his hand. He said, I want to give you something & I hope you will take it. The way he held it cradled in his hand, I could tell it was something special to him. He was still talking, but I zeroed in on his hand. Was there actually something in it or ... ? Finally, he reached over, cupped my palm up so something small, white and heavy dropped into it. It was a small house, made of ceramic that someone had made & carefully hand-painted. No doubt one of the ornaments hed collected for his dead snoopy Christmas tree. I found it while walking down the trail to the river, he said. Wow! Someone made it, Robert. Look at the little paintings. Thank you! I said. Thank you for accepting it, he said. It just reminds me of a home I might have someday and I want you to have it, he said. I gave him a hug & said Id put it on or beside my Christmas tree & take a picture of it to show him next time I saw him. He said, I love you, little sister. After witnessing this sweet man, who lives on the streets & has nothing gave me something I could see he clearly loved ... I had no words. Felt like someone pushed the pause button on my body, life sucked out ... And it was just me and my heartbeat. And this small, heavy house in my hand. So now, Roberts house lives in front of my Happy Buddha & I lit an incense for him. Please send Robert & his little white house pictured here positive thoughts/wishes for his dream to come true.
