Whew. Well, I did it. And I didnt break down like I thought I would.Thank you all so very much for the prayers and well wishes that you sent my way - they carried me through. Making hard choices is never easy. Acting on them is even harder. But when you KNOW what the right thing to do is, then you have to do it. Yesterday, I turned in my two week notice at Disney. There are many reasons why I made this choice, the main one being that I need to be available to help my parents through the next month - the busiest one for their business - after Dads surgery while he is recovering. I am blessed to be able to help them, and blessed that my parents gave me the chance to make my lifelong dream come true and become a Disney Cast Member. I simply cannot continue to meet the schedule availability requirements, and so I must let go of this dream. Ill always cherish the memories and be proud of what I accomplished in my short time there.... it answered a lot of questions I have always had. Though there is a bit of sadness that comes with what I am losing, I continue to follow the advice of a man I never met (my grandpa did!) who said Around here, we dont look backward for very long.... we keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things, because we are curious... and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. Im going to enjoy my last two weeks as a CM, and then move forward into a new phase of my life - knowing that my dreams CAN come true, if I only have the courage to pursue them. Walt said THAT, too ;) And yes, Ill be buying a regular annual pass so I can keep going into the Park - its a habit I LIKE!
