Whew. When I say on the news Thanks to the national crime - TopicsExpress

Whew. When I say on the news Thanks to the national crime information database, they can run but they cant hide I didnt know I was talking about myself. When I left NY and moved to FL in 1993, yes 21 years ago, and changed my drivers license, tags and insurance to FL, apparently because I did not know theres a NY law requiring you to TURN IN TO NY your actual physical metal license tags, and no one notified them my insurance was TRANSFERRED, they suspended my NY license -- and theres been a citation on my NY record for all these years. Last week I got a letter from KY DOT saying I had to contact NY to clear it before I could renew my KY license. THANK YOU to my good friend Mark Morgan who spent the first 3-1/2 hours on speaker phone with them -- no thanks that the NY DMV web page wouldnt let me pay my fine on line -- a big thanks to the two NY clerks I spoke with today (after more hours Tue-Wed-Thu on hold, getting transferred, on hold, getting transferred, getting cut off, and on line) who finally got it resolved. Hooray! Im legal again to renew my KY license during this birth month -- when I didnt even know I was illegal in the first place. NOTE TO EVERYONE -- If you have so much as an outstanding parking ticket from any other state, you will NOW have to clear it before you can get or renew your license anywhere else. No statute of limitations. One of the NY clerks just told me her last call before mine was a lady with a ticket from 1978. Thats 36 years. Makes my 21 years with a record pale by comparison. (I guess this only applies to driving records so far, so they havent found about the chain saw murders yet, but that cant be far behind. LOL!) Well, at least Tony Gray Jr. Marty Elliott, Billy Whitenack, Ernie Kelty, Curt Folger, and more didnt pick me up to become a resident of their fine establishments.
