Whew, our G.O.H.A.R.D. 5K is done. Our training plan called for an aggressive 5 second run/5 second walk cycle. I think this strategy gave us a competitive edge. Since we knew there would be virtually no support on course we brought our own fuel and stuck to our every .5 mile fueling plan. Given this was a global race we felt race numbers on our bibs were in order. Since we are usually assigned to the last corral, and undoubtedly there were many runners, we guessed our number would be high. We didnt know where the timing mat was so we made our own.
