Whew what a day. Never sleep well the night before Alexis - TopicsExpress

Whew what a day. Never sleep well the night before Alexis treatments. Got there 40 minutes early, had linocaine crime on Alexis ready for IV, IV team requested and poor girl had to endure 4 attempts by the specialists to get IV in. I dont know who wanted to cry more, her or me. She is amazing at holding still, but still the searching for the vein puts her anxiety in overload. She was so calm and listening to Life Services helper that I promised her the chrome book she really wanted for Christmas. Finally got her treatment started at 12:15 PM so we got to leave at 4:30 pm. No other treatments are Available so it looks like every 6 weeks we will be going for Winrho treatments which are the safest with the least amount of side effects. Life Services gave her a goody bag of art supplies and journals. She wrote her first entry and read it to me on the drive home, her words Tug at my heart. She asks me if she will have thing for the rest if her life and I tell her I cant answer that question. Hard to believe the next treatment may be. 1/2/15. Glad we are home and I can relax - and Yes Lexi got her Chrome Book.
