Whew, what a rush !! Packing for Pony Penning, running back and forth all week, then the highlight of our 3rd Annual Open House as the finale with 150 guests coming out to see our ponies here at the rescue. Fantastic !! What a great time seeing old friends, meeting lots of new ones and of course, seeing lots of ponies. I did get to attend a few dinners and activities, but way too much to do and too little time to accept all invitations and participate. Our little Bristol is leaving the rescue this evening for her new forever home. She will live with her dam, Shadow (now Lena) and a few other rescue graduates not far from the rescue in Maryland. I will get to see her on a regular basis, so the parting isnt so hard this time. I love this girl dearly and raised her from a day old filly, but she is getting another chance at a great home, so will not deny her that opportunity. I know we will get plenty of photos too. I have lots of updates for some ponies that may be getting adopted soon, just waiting on return calls from references. Better start warming up as I feel a few Happy Dances in our near future. Also plenty of photos to share from Pony Penning. A big Thank You to McKenna and her mom for coming out this morning and volunteering for the rescue. Bristol was McKennas Pony Pal, so we got some great pictures of them together to share with everyone. Bristol got the grooming of her life, so is clean and well brushed for her ride to her new home. McKennas second pick is Randi aka Jelly Bean, so we will get some photos of them together too. Randi came in 5 weeks ago with Jelly Beans on her halter, so the nick name just stuck. How adorable is that? LOL
