While I agree with the approach of the reasoning (I have used it myself), I believe that it is incorrect to say that cold, darkness and evil do not exist. Similarly, since death is the absence of life, then death does not exist by that reasoning. However, it is clear that death, darkness, cold and evil all exist. It is more accurate to say that one does not create these things directly. They are produced by the absence of something else, and are limited in the extent to which they can go. While something can continually get hotter (indefinitely), there is a limit to how cold things can get (absolute zero), because one can only remove heat to a certain extent. Similarly for darkness, and death. So, rather than saying that evil does not exist, it is better to say that evil was not directly created, but it is the consequence of the separation from the source of all goodness, that is God. #ThinkingAboutLife
