While I am generally not one to share too much on Facebook, it seems the word is getting out that I have been diagnosed with cancer. In my case, it is a soft tissue sarcoma on my left ankle. The prognosis is good (it has not spread) and it surgery will usually cure it. Nonetheless, I will have to have chemo (starting next week) and radiation to shrink the tumor - which helps ensure a better surgical outcome. Sarcoma is very rare and there are no behavioral risk factors.
