While I am not a big fan of telling people what NOT to do (which is about as useful as telling a dog no! without teaching them what you would like them to do instead), I found this article very informative for people who may not know what a prong (or pinch) collar is or how it works. By the way, I offer a prong collar amnesty! If you trade in a prong, choke or shock collar you get a free assessment and training session, with no judgements! Everybody does their best with the information they have available to them at the time, we are all constantly learning and evolving our training practice with the new information we gather :)
