While I had no interest in The Interview as I did have future - TopicsExpress

While I had no interest in The Interview as I did have future plans to rent it, to hear that one studio has decided to back off and not pull with the punches really disturbs me. I understand Sony was under all those threats and the leak of countless documents really felt like a punch to the gut, did we not forget what to do in hard times but to keep moving forward. Passion of the Christ got some flack but it did it stop from getting release or what about Last Temptation of Christ and Do the Right Thing. But, this is a political movie you say. What does that have to deal with The Interview? Regardless of genre and story, they are expression of art. When Jim Henson was on The Dark Crystal, his film almost got botched by then new owner of ITC Entertainment Robert Holmes a Court. Jim had to buy the Dark Crystal back himself with his own money just to save his vision. Now, what is more courageous? A studio ending a theatrical release for the sake of being hit by threats and a leak? Or the pasts artist power to accept failure as long as his creation is out there? While the film references I use are not hot top, I want you to keep this in mind. Art is what you make of it. https://youtube/watch?v=cCeU6CHXDow
