While I have had many disagreements with Bloomberg, he was compelling and correct here. Many have given me push back on this concept that liberals can’t even listen to other opinions. The anti-free speech and anti-free thinking left is a huge problem in our schools as demonstrated over a number of commencement speeches this year. I would contend the problem permeates the media and too many other spots as well. Heck a liberal unfriended me a few weeks ago because he couldn’t handle the dialogue. As Bloomberg notes below: In the 1950s the right wing was attempting to repress left-wing ideas, said Bloomberg, who started his career on Wall Street before launching the news and data company that bears his name. Today on many college campuses it is liberals trying to repress conservative ideas even as conservative faculty members are at risk of becoming an endangered species.”
