While I should be studying for my MGMT final, Ill take a break to do my stereotypical end of the year post. From the moment I applied to Texas A&M, I began taking a series of chances. Chance was kind of the theme of my whole year. I took a chance to apply to a school I had always made fun of and hated and never even tried to understand, I took a chance on accepting admission to this school over another that may have been the more obvious decision. I put myself out there for sorority recruitment - shocking many. I took a risk in applying for a Freshman Leadership Organization that seemed not only extremely selective but also a tad intimidating. I took a chance and applied for Fish Camp, knowing the numbers werent really in my favor. I applied to be a Fish Council director, knowing the responsibility that would place on me. Although I risked being let down or not fitting in, I have found nothing but pride and happiness in what I have done this year. I have taken more chances this year than ever before, and in response, others have taken chances on me. This year was more than I ever expected I could do and learn. I guess the best advice I can give to anyone is to take some chances, because when they pay off, theyll pay off in a big, big way. Cant wait to take some more this fall. Thanks and Gig Em!
