While In Louisiana, President Obama Called For Governor Jindal To Accept An Expansion Of Obamacare, And The Governor Responded By Saying The President Will Not Bully Louisiana Into Accepting The Flawed Law. A trip by President Barack Obama to the Port of New Orleans on Friday was an opportunity for him to focus on the economy and divert attention from the troubled launch of his signature healthcare insurance program. Instead, the visit turned into a spat over Obamacare with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a possible Republican presidential contender . . . That opened the door for Jindal to accuse Obama of trying to bully the state. We will not allow President Obama to bully Louisiana into accepting an expansion of Obamacare, Jindal said in a statement, saying the expansion would cost the state too much. The dysfunction of the website and the presidents broken promises on being able to keep your health plan are just the tip of the iceberg in regards to the problems with this law, Jindal said. Governor Jindal Appeared On Fox News And Responded To President Obamas Request For Louisiana To Accept An Expansion Of Obamacare By Telling The President To Man Up, Admit He Made A Mistake, And Repeal This Bad Law. Governor Jindal: Nobody is going to bully Louisiana into expanding Medicaid or joining part of Obamacare. … The reality is the federal government has no business trying to run our health care system. Quality is going to get worse, prices are going to go higher. This is just the beginning. … The recent turmoil shows we made the right decision in Louisiana not to try to do the exchanges, not to expand Medicaid, to say Obamacare is flawed. … I think this gets worse and worse for the President and for the country. It is time for him to man up, admit he made a mistake, and repeal this bad law.
