Our country (us all included) needs to step back and look at the way we have stigmatize mental disorders and illness. As a result of this stigma, many are compelled to hide this part of themselves perpetuating the spiraling illness and keeping them from seeking help. AND on top of the stigma, our healthcare system needs a revamp and a system where ALL have access to quality care. 40%-50% of all homeless are mentally ill and 56% of all prison inmates are mentally ill. #SomethingIsWrongHere.
