While black folk in Missouri are in uprest about police death of unarmed teen, Amnesty Internaton released a new report today about official violence against Afghan civilians by US/NATO military forces that have gone unpunished. A spokesman for Amnesty Intl was asked by news anchor about Taliban violence against Afhgans and why were they excluded from reort. The spokesperson admitted that although Taliban were responsible for approx 75% of civilian Afghan deaths, international military forces must be held accountable as their presence were not to attack the population but to serve as peace forces (i.e., protecting the civilians from the Taliban). Seems we have a parallel on the international landscape to what is happening in increasing numbers around the US with regards police violence against black civilians (not criminals). This does not, and cannot, diminish outrage and disaproval of black-on-black violence, but that professional peace keepers cannot go unpunished as they exploit their position of authority to wage war against black civilians. To those in black community eager to play devils advocate and speak as if no one cares about the innocent black deaths caused by black perpetrators, I direct you to the 2012 report Operation Ghetto Storm (link below)
