While doing my NP clinical rotations with different preceptors (MD, NPs, PAs), I would always ask them their professional (and personal if they wanted to throw that in) opinions on the Affordable Care Act. I was amazed at how some of them had NO idea how it works or how it would even affect their own practices - although recent studies show that many MDs know nothing about the billing/insurance practices in their facilities, let alone the new healthcare law. However, I do recall one respected physician´s statement that has stuck with me: ¨Even if I have to take a little lesser salary so that patients and their families can have better, affordable health insurance, I´m all for it.¨ --Dr. Richard Newman ...In my opinion, that´s a class-A provider and who I aspire to be like. #needmorelikehim #obamacare #7moredays
