While eating lunch with some friends yesterday at home, we all heard a loud sonic boom. My first thought was, I sure hope that sound didnt originate from my home. Later that night, I turned on the air conditioner and noticed that only hot air was coming out. Bingo. That was the loud sound. Something in my A/C unit blew up. After adjusting to the idea of sleeping (or at least trying to) in an 87 degree bedroom, I started to see the numbers in my bank account dwindling quickly. The repairman came out this morning and after spending some time with the unit on the roof, I was prepared for him to tell me that the motor blew out and that I needed another unit. Nope. He said that a part that hes never had to repair before blew out. And...its the cheapest part of the entire unit! How often does that happen?!
