While going around a scale this morning I bumped into a sheep camp. There were lambs on the road so I slowed down and stopped. While stopped a middle aged man from Guatemala walked up and said hola. Through his broken English and my broken spanish we muddled through a 10 minute conversation while he offered me coffee. He was one of the happiest men I have ever met, while he smiled and laughed at my short legged Charalois s as he showed me his dogs. I gained a smile for the day and he gained some Salted Caramel Nut coffee creamer. I took a picture before I left, I needed some perspective. .. 40 miles from town, everyone of his worldly processions in a hut with wheels, a couple dogs and 2 long in the tooth paint horses...... I can assure you, that man was richer than most.
